Descriptions of Annual Events

Easter Egg Hunt
This annual event , Sponsored by the Meadow Vista Lion's Club, will be held at the Soccer Fields at Placer Hills School. Children through the 5th grade are welcome to come and search for eggs and other Easter Surprises. This event is generally on the second Saturday of April and starts at 10:00 sharp (see calendar above). It's all over but the shouting at 11:15. So be there on time! It's great fun for all!

Mother's Day Breakfast
This annual event is also sponsored by the Meadow Vista Lion's Club and will be held at Sierra Hills School in the Cafeteria on May 11th from 8:00 am - 11:30 am. Give your Moms a break, bring the whole family and join The Meadow Vista lions in celebrating Motherhood! Mothers are free at this event and all Mothers will receive a complimentary corsage.

Pioneer Day
One of the biggest events of the year. Held on the first Sunday of June, a parade, starting at the Fire Station at noon, kicks off the fun. After the parade there are games, booths, vendors and FOOD of all kinds at the park. Come early and stay late. Plenty of parking. This event is put on each year by the Placer Hills Firefighters Association and the entire Community is involved.

4th Of July in Meadow Vista
No regular events.

Octoberfest
Annual event to benefit the Meadow Vista Community Center.  This night out for the adults features beverages, bratwurst, lively music, dancing, hot coffee, and desert.  Stay warm by the fire with all of your friends.

Trick or Treat Trail
Costumed children young and old are invited to visit participating merchants from 3pm to 6pm on Friday, October 30th (the Day before Halloween).  In addition to trick-or-treat bounty, cash or other prizes have traditionally been awarded to three lucky trick-or-treaters.

Friendly Neighbors Food Drive
The Friendly Neighbors organization conducts an annual food drive during the holiday season.

Christmas in the Village
Join the Meadow Vista Merchants Association, in our annual Christmas in the Village celebration. Participating Merchants will have refreshments at their stores and there is a Scavenger Hunt for a Grand Prize of $100. Bring your family and join in the festivities. Things start at 4:00 pm and run til 7:00 pm the second Saturday in December.

Santa Comes to Town
Same night as Christmas in the village (2nd Saturday in December)  Sponsored by the MV Lions club.  This is a favored family event, include photos with Santa around village Christmas tree.  Enjoy free cookies baked by local girl scouts, and hot cocoa all around a warm fire.
