Meadow Vista is one of a dozen small communities located adjacent to the I-80 corridor from Auburn to the Ski slopes near Truckee and Quick Silver lure of Reno. Nestled securely in the foothills of the majestic High Sierra Nevada Mountains, Meadow Vista is low enough to catch a dusting of snowflakes in the winter and high enough to avoid the summer heat of the Sacramento Valley.

Our community is a place where a family can picnic next to a pond afloat with ducks and geese, and stargaze in a sky punctuated with towering Pines and broad Oaks. A place where you can sit on your porch on a summer evening and listen to the whir of humming birds at their feeders, Stellar Jays in the treetops, or wild turkey calling warnings as red tail hawks circle in the thermals above. We are also a place where the streets can find kids riding horses or the "thirtysomething" kids building and driving the Rods of their youth; to show at Hot August Nights, just an hour up the road.

We cordially invite you to come to our town and join in our activities. Who knows, like the wild ducks and geese in the pond, you might just like it enough to stay year ‘round.
